Day 2

Today I want you to understand that in order to make what we spoke about yesterday ( if you don’t remember please read again 😊) sustainable then you MUST enjoy what you eat.

So to be extremely CLEAR, you should DEFINITELY consume foods you like in order to make your results happen and continue.

You definitely do not need to only consume foods considered boring by many such as plain salads that make YOU feel like you are eating “rabbit food” ( If you enjoy that then by all means have that).

So now you are asking it is so hard!! How can I make this sustainable?

NO WORRIES.

It can be done.

THAT IS WHY I HIGHLY SUGGEST YOU FOLLOW THE 80-20 RULE.

This means that 80% of your diet should come from an array of healthy, whole foods and the remaining 20% should come from foods you enjoy. This could be ice cream, pizza, or chocolate, but don't overdo it.

Remember 20% only.

THE MAIN THING IS THAT 20% OF WHAT YOU CONSUME SHOULD DEFINITELY BE ENJOYABLE FOOD.

Now that this is clear, I highly suggest you go to the supermarket today and prepare the following.

Go buy fruits and vegetables that you can have at each meal. Just like a rainbow that has many colors, go ahead and buy all different colors of fruits and veggies.

Buy lean meats such as chicken and fish. Have a few servings of each throughout the week.

TIP: GENERALLY, STAY AWAY FROM WHITE FOODS.

Buy brown rice as opposed to white rice. Buy whole-grain bread as opposed to white bread.

STAY AWAY FROM SUGARY FOODS.

For example sugary cereals and drinks.

Buy complex carbs.

Some examples are...

OATMEAL, SWEET POTATO, QUINOA, BARLEY, BEANS.

These are important as they maintain their natural fiber and fuel your body with its necessary energy.

Now go ahead and buy a few things that you crave.

BUT BE CAREFUL.

Remember it is only allowed for 20% of your calories.

So do not buy too much, rather buy enough for the week that will keep you at no more than 20%.

( A good tip is to buy things such as ice cream in smaller sizes. People tend to eat more when they see more).

Halo Top is a great low-calorie brand to buy. Their ice cream is around 1/3 of the calories of the major ice cream brands. If you would like to see what they offer, here is a link to check their website.

Please check out the grocery list attached below to assist you in what foods to focus on. This is not an all-inclusive list but it does give you an idea of what to look for when shopping at the supermarket.

( TIP: Just don’t go while hungry you will likely end up purchasing much more than necessary).
